StoneSmith brings together distinctive natural materials for projects where texture, permanence and natural beauty matter: villas and farmhouses, hotel terraces, courtyards, gardens and architectural facades.
We work closely with architects, interior designers and landscape practices — from early material selection through samples, formats and finishes, to project supply.
How we work
Material first
We start from the stone itself — its grain, tone and behaviour in light — rather than from a catalogue number.
Made to last
Natural stone outlives the schemes it is specified into. We select material that will still read well in thirty years.
Considered supply
Batching, finishes and thicknesses are agreed before delivery, so what arrives matches what was specified.
Guidance, not selling
Most projects need advice before they need a quotation. That conversation is where we are most useful.
Craft
Cut, dressed and finished by hand where it matters.
Machine calibration gives consistency; hand-dressing gives character. The balance between the two is what separates a specified surface from a considered one, and it is decided material by material.
